Is it me or have things become absolutely ridiculous?  The outing of a comic book superhero is just plain dumb.  It’s as dumb as trying to get Bert and Ernie to come out of the closet.  Superheroes in comics are supposed to save the planet from evil villains.  In all the years of my youth not once did it cross my mind whether Aqua Man was gay or straight.  Who cares?  Similar to that, Bert and Ernie are just two young friends with no anatomical parts.  Look, I totally understand what is being attempted here but I don’t think this is the forum for it.  All it does is steal the youthful innocence of children who read these comics because it gives them some sense of control in an otherwise uncontrolled world.  Children are constantly being told what to do and how to behave by parents and teachers.  Comics make children feel powerful.  Sexuality has absolutely no place here.  That’s just the way it is.  Done!  End of Story!!
