Lindsay Lohan Facing Charges On Both Coasts

Once again Lindsay Lohan is facing legal trouble in New York City.  Police responded to a call at 4:00AM regarding a fight at a Nightclub that supposedly involved her.  The facts in this case are still being revealed but really make no difference.  The real issue is, what’s she doing at a nightclub at 4:00AM if she’s trying to stay out of trouble?   Lohan should be trying much harder to stay out of prison, although it’s probably the best place for her at this point.  Perhaps she was drowning her sorrows over the horrible reviews she received for her latest acting comeback, Liz and Dick.  Regardless of what one thought of the story, Lohan’s performance was terrible.  She in no way captured Elizabeth Taylor and sounded more like a defensive, real life Lindsay Lohan than Elizabeth Taylor.  In short, she didn’t appear to be acting.  Although I’m no acting critic, Lohan seemed ill prepared for the part.  An old-fashioned heist; she took the money and ran.  Her New York based lawyer Mark Heller told CNN “Once again, Lindsay Lohan is a victim of someone trying to capture their 15 minutes of fame.  From my initial investigation, I am completely confident that this case will be concluded favorably and that Lindsay will be totally exonerated.”  Meanwhile, on the west coast, the Santa Monica city attorney filed charges in connection with last summer’s car crash.  In that incident, she is accused of, “giving false information to a police officer, obstructing or resisting a police officer in performance of his duty and reckless driving.”  She apparently told police her assistant was driving her Porsche when there were witnesses who saw Lohan behind the wheel.  Those charges, coupled with her probation, is enough to send her back to prison.  If she continues to put herself in bad situations, she will continue to find trouble.  Lohan was a cute kid but at twenty-six she’s getting less cute every year.  It’s time to grow up and stop being a crybaby.  She was once a bright and talented actress, with a great future but she’s quickly turning in to a burned out, aged woman right before our eyes.  I was on a red-eye back from LA when I first saw her in Mean Girls and I thought from that performance, she was a star in the making.  She has that “star” quality.  It’s sad when people who have everything, also have demons and can’t figure out how to rid themselves of them.  What’s most incredible, is that there’s not one person in her life that wants to save her.  It’s more fun to ride the fame and gravy train I suppose.  The Lindsay Lohan Story is out there waiting to be told.  Will it have a happy ending or will it end in tragedy?  Unless things change, the odds aren’t in her favor.
