Transphobia Label: Leftist Attempt to Limit Legitimate Discourse

Transphobia is not a real word or term. It’s an armed label. A phobia is merely an irrational fear. That doesn’t apply here. Those who question the motives or ideology of the trans community are labeled with the “Scarlet T” regardless of the legitimacy of their arguments. There’s a trans activist named Colleen Rossini who came to the realization late in life that he is actually a trans female. Despite my very legitimate points regarding males having babies and trans females competing in female sports, this person labeled me a transphobe and blocked me. I have absolutely no problem with being blocked. In fact, I consider it a badge of honor because I obviously hit home. Those in a position of strength, need not throw tantrums.

My interest in this topic has nothing to do with hatred or bigotry and everything to do with protecting girls and women’s rights. The argument of the trans community is basically that they must be considered a woman as soon as they identify as one. There is no scientific basis or evidence that they actually are women, and far more scientific evidence that they are not women. But we must accept them and everything they espouse, or we are the enemy and labeled a “T”. That cannot be permitted because it’s no different than what McCarthy tried to do by labeling anyone who didn’t agree with his small view of the world, as Communists. There is no difference!

I have been involved in athletics since I was 3 years old. I have competed in cross country, track, sailing, baseball, fencing, Judo and kick boxing. I have met and known many athletes throughout my life. I ran cross country with the nephew of Baseball Hall of Famer Rod Carew, one of the most talented athletes I’ve ever trained with. I trained with female Olympians at the only indoor track in Brooklyn. I was an average male runner competing for a D1 college. But I was able to train with a female Olympic medalist. Something I would not have been able to do with the elite males, who would have walked me.

It’s simply unfair for average males in sports to compete against biological females. That should not be controversial, unless you hate truth. We have enough examples at this point, of women who have lost to trans female athletes, that it should no longer be questioned. But more importantly, in some sports, women will be endangered as Peyton McNabb was when she was hit in the face with a volleyball spiked by a trans female athlete. According to McNabb, she received a concussion and neck injury. The spike hit her so hard, she sustained permanent cognitive damage as a result. The protection of athletes should be the main concern of any governing athletic body. It should not bend to the will or political pressure of the loudest albeit smallest minority of activists.

I recognize that those who support trans female athletes in women’s sports will say that this is an isolated incident and that there are too few trans athletes to make this an issue. Laws are therefore deemed unnecessary. It’s interesting that when the trans community wants to downplay the number of trans athletes, they claim there are too few to make laws necessary. But when it suits them, they say there are so many trans men and women who are at risk of suicide because of these unfair laws. You can’t have it both ways. One injury to a female athlete, is too many, particularly if you’re the women who sustained the injuries. The reason laws are necessary, is because if this does become the norm, more athletes will jump into the fray. Can’t win as a man, so I’ll compete as an elite woman. And that will never be ok. Title IX was established to protect girls and women, not boys and men who identify as women.

Of course, even stating that, can land me in hot water by the fascist left who would prefer I not have a platform for truth. It’s one of the main problems with extremism on either side. Progressive doesn’t equate to progress when it tramples the rights of another group who have historically faced more harassment and discrimination than any other group on the planet: women. I will never apologize or change my opinion when it comes to defending women.

Those in the transgender community are attempting to drive the narrative that identity trumps biology and that is ridiculous and false! As I’ve stated many times on social media, women face so many challenges throughout their lives that trans women will never face, that the argument is silly. Just think about the fact that on any given day, a girl or woman will have to compete with the discomfort and inconvenience of having her period. One would think that alone is enough of a disadvantage to disqualify trans females who will never face that same challenge.

We cannot allow anyone or any group to misrepresent what it actually means to be a woman. To do so would be to allow women to once again be compromised by male dominance. What happened to JK Rowling for simply speaking the truth can never be allowed or else all free speech and truth is in jeopardy. I have absolutely no problem with how someone chooses to identify, but I will not be forced into submission or saying or believing that which isn’t so. I am not now or never have been a transphobe, and I reject the term wholeheartedly. I am however a staunch supporter of women and feminism.
